Blue Holes

Diving the Blue Holes, a nearby cave, and the vertical wall leading to the Blue Corner on 2012-01-28.

Looking out of the cavern from its largest exit point to the vertical reef wall. On this dive, we entered the cavern through this hole because high surf precluded a reef top entry.Looking toward an entrance to one of the blue holes from inside the cavern.Soft coral growing from the cavern's wall is highlighted in the light from one of the blue holes.Expert Cave divers (two tanks on backs) enter the "Temple of Doom" at 90' at the bottom of the Blue Holes. The Temple of Doom derives its name from divers and turtles that have perished in the cave's labyrinth.

We prepare to enter a cave a short distance from the exit of the Blue Holes.At the farthest end of the cave, there is a passageway up to the reef top.
